Don Henley Is Releasing a New Album… And It’s a Little Bit Country

Don Henley is set to release a new album this year. The record will be the “Hotel California” singer’s first solo project since Inside Job, which was released in 2000.

Titled Cass County, after the town where Henley grew up in Texas, the record has a country flavor.

“I guess you could categorize some of it as country, and some of it could be called Americana,” he reveals in this video on chideo.

Although there is no official release date set for the album, fans can expect it in the summer or fall of 2015, after the completion of The Eagles’ tour.

Henley also says that fans can expect some interesting guest artists on the album.

Don Henley isn’t the only classic rock artist making his way into country. Just last week, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler signed a deal with Dot Records to release his new solo country album.
