Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan and Grateful Dead Among Grammy Hall of Fame Inductees

fleetwood-macMusic by Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Blondie and the Grateful Dead, among others, will be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2016, the Recording Academy announced this week.

A total of 26 recordings will be honored, including individual songs and full albums.

“Spanning more than 50 years, the 2016 entries are an outstanding collection, marked by both historical and cultural significance,” Recording Academy president Neil Portnow said in a statement. “These works have influenced and inspired both music creators and fans for generations.”

Recordings being inducted include Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 self-titled album, the Pretenders’ self titled album, Bob Dylan and the Band’s The Basement Tapes, Grateful Dead’s American Beauty, Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful,” the Zombies’ “She’s Not There,”  Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock and Roll” and Blondie’s “Heart of Glass.”
