The Grateful Dead may hit the road this fall for a tour featuring John Mayer, Billboard reports.

Although a rep for the band told Billboard that “it’s ‘premature’ to suggest any such outing is being planned,’ Billboard reports that multiple sources have indicated the trek will kick off in October.

The tour would feature the core four surviving members – Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, while John Mayer will stand in for the late Jerry Garcia.

Despite these reports, the band insists that their shows in Santa Carla (June 27-28) and Chicago (July 4-6), which mark 20 years since the band’s last performance with Jerry Garcia and the 50th Anniversary of the band, will be their final bow as the Grateful Dead.
