Julian Lennon Curates Beatles Photography Exhibit

morrison-galleryA photography exhibit curated by Julian Lennon will open Thursday in New York and Los Angeles in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first US tour.

Julian Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Cynthia Powell, is a photographer himself and is also represented in the Morrison Hotel Gallery, where the exhibit is being hosted in Manhattan. 25 photos will be on display through the end of the month and another 25 will be on be on display at the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s Los Angeles location.

“For me, this was a much more personal, emotional and respectful way of being involved, especially with photography as my number one passion these days,” said Julian Lennon, explaining that he attempted to find photographs that in particular “gave me an emotion and told me a bit more of the inside story and what these boys were feeling when they were going through what they were going through. What an incredible experience they had.”
