Kiss Kick Off Tour After Private Show for Veterans and Service Men & Women in Virginia (VIDEO)

Kiss kick off their tour tonight at Farm Bureau Live in Virginia Beach, but not before performing a private show for veterans and service families at the Jiffy Lube Center last night in Bristow.

The band invited 2000 of America’s heros while Boomer Managzine coordinated free ticket distribution. Past and current soldiers all received a commemorative Kiss t-shirt to mark the occassion.

Kiss have been actively involved an a campaign, Hiring Our Heroes, which works to get veterans back into the work force. Recently, they held an open call for vets to apply for a roadie position on the upcoming tour.

“Hiring veterans is the most important thing that we can do,” said Gene Simmons.

Kiss recently released their new single “Hell of Hallelujah” – the first from their 20th studio album Monster, scheduled for release this October.
