Allman Brothers Band Announce Final Shows

ALLMAN_BROTHERS_2014Forty-five years after the group was formed, The Allman Brothers Band have announced their final shows together in the band’s current configuration, and potentially for all time.

The final two concerts will take place at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, where the group began an annual residency in 1989 and have performed at 232 times since.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have also re-scheduled 4 shows at the Beacon which were postponed in March.

Tickets purchased for those sold-out shows (originally set for 3/25, 26, 28 & 29) will be honored on these dates for the corresponding days (see itinerary below). Fans unable to attend the rescheduled shows can return tickets for a refund at the point of purchase prior to August 1.

The current lineup of the band – which includes founding members Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks, and Jaimoe, plus longtime members Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge and Marc Quinones – has performed together for 14 years. Earlier this year, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks both announced their departure from the band.

There has been no official announcement as to whether the group will continue without Trucks and Haynes, or call it a day in their 45th year.

Ticket sales information for the band’s final two shows will be announced soon.
