Beatles Catalog To Be Released For Neil Young’s PONO

The-Beatles-LogoThe entire catalog of The Beatles is set to be released for download on Neil Young’s high-end digital music player, Pono, Showbiz411 reports.

The audio player, which sells for a price on $399, is the brain-child of Neil Young. It plays high-resolutions 24-bit 192kHz audio instead of the compressed inferior mp3 audio that portable music devices typically play.

“My goal is to try and rescue the art form that I’ve been practicing for the past 50 years,” Young stated in his book, Waging Heavy Peace.

Paul McCartney is reportedly overseeing the transfer of the Beatles’ catalog for the standalone player.
