The release, which will be available on DVD and Blu-ray comes shortly after the guitarist revealed he is thinking of quitting life on the road.

“The road has become unbearable,” the nearly 70-year-old told Uncut Magazine last month. “It’s become unapproachable, because it takes so long to get anywhere. It’s hostile – everywhere: getting in and out of airports, traveling on planes and in cars.”

Fittingly, the forthcoming tour documentary is titled, Plains, Trains and Eric.

It features performances of 13 songs including such classic hits as “Layla,” “Crossroads,” and “I Shot the Sherriff,” and includes interviews with Clapton and his band members, footage from sound checks, rehearsals, and lengthy train rides between tour stops.
