Neil Young & Crazy Horse Cancel 4 North American Dates

crazy-horseAfter canceling the remaining dates on their European tour, Neil Young & Crazy Horse have regretfully announced the cancellation of four North American dates between August 31st and September 7th.  The cancellations are due to a hand injury sustained by guitarist Poncho Sampedro.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our fans or the Festivals where we were schedule to appear,” the band said in a statement. “As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events.”

The canceled dates included performances in Dundas, ON, Ottawa, ON, Arrington, VA and Port Chester, NY.

In April, Sampedro told Rolling Stone that Neil Young & Crazy Horse were getting too old to tour. “My gut tells me this is really the last tour. It just seems at some point something is going to break.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse released two albums in 2012; Americana and Psychedelic Pill.
