Paul McCartney ‘Marries’ Couple on Stage

Paul McCartney made dreams come true for a Beatles fan and her fiancé Tuesday night, when McCartney married the couple on stage at the end of his show in Phoenix.

Andrea Copado and Adam Kowal watched the Sir Paul’s concert from the sixth row, holding up a sign that read “You’re Ordained – We’re Engaged – Please marry us tonight!”.

“Honestly, we were kind of just joking around a little bit,” Copado said. “We were like, ‘That’d be so cool if he at least acknowledged the sign.”

At the end of the concert plus two encores, McCartney invited the engaged couple on stage and walked the bride and groom through their “I Do’s”.

“I’m not sure this is gonna hold up in a Court of Law,” McCartney told the couple, autographing their sign instead of a marriage certificate.

“If Paul McCartney says I’m married, I’m married,” Copado declared. She did, however, extend an invitation to the singer to attend the couple’s actual, legal wedding, in October.

“It’s just an experience that neither one of us will ever forget,” Copado said later. “Regardless of whether it was real or not, who else can really say they got married by Paul McCartney?”

McCartney is currently on the American leg of his Out There tour, after some health issues back in May and June caused several dates to be rescheduled this fall.
