Dave Mason – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and co-founding member of Traffic – has released a new solo album. Future’s Past features new versions of his classic songs plus new material that Mason has written and performed on tour over the last few years. The first track off the album, “Dear Mr. Fantasy,” can be heard below.

“There is a version of ‘World In Changes’ that is absolutely nothing like the original,” Mason says of the album, “and there is a great live version that is absolutely beautiful of ‘Sad and Deep as You.’  There are two or three songs that were on a CD called 26 Letters 12 Notes that I did seven years ago, a Robert Johnson song, ‘Come On in My Kitchen’ and a brand new song called ‘That’s Freedom.’”

Currently, Dave Mason is on tour across the U.S. with his new project billed as “DAVE MASON’S TRAFFIC JAM.” The tour will continue through the rest of the year with more dates to be announced soon.

Future’s Past is available now on Amazon.com.
