Queen drummer Roger Taylor has written the soundtrack for a “lowish-budget” British film titled Solitary, The Independent reports. The cast of the psycho-drama, which was directed by Sasha Krane, includes Taylor’s wife, Sarina Taylor, and stars one of her best friends, who also wrote the screenplay.

“Obviously, my wife being involved, I was quite intrigued,” said Taylor. “I thought it was a very serious subject and very brave… that kind of domestic difficulty involving parents with their kids is very little spoken of. It is under-the-table stuff. You very rarely see anything that takes that kind of thing absolutely head-on.”

Don’t expect any Queen-like songs in the film though. According to Taylor, his job on the film was to create a mood and build tension, not to write rock songs.

Solitary is also executive produced by Taylor and screens Thursday night in the UK.
