Steve Perry Talks Journey Reunion [WATCH]

"]

Steve Perry revealed at last month’s Guitar Center Drumoff Finals event in Los Angeles that he is “doing his best” on a Journey reunion, although he has not worked with guitarist Neal Schon on that front.

“We’re trying,” the singer explained to Artisan News. “It’s tough. You know, I’m doing my best in that area, and I can only do so much.”

Perry explains that he has recognized the value of being in a band.

“The older I get, the more I realise how important what we had together was, and how it worked. I realise I brought things out of them, and they certainly brought a lot of my vocal stuff out of me. We were just raising each other to this place. That’s probably the biggest chemistry thing I recognize now.”

Last year, Neal Schon sparked speculation the two former bandmates might settle their differences when he posted a public Facebook message that read, “I hope we can reach out to each other and connect once again. We had amazing chemistry together. I love him with all the love and admiration you could have. Steve, let’s talk soon.

Perry did reveal that he is currently working on new music.
