Stones Kick Off 50th Anniversary Tour With a Bang

The Rolling Stones kicked off their 50th Anniversary Tour last night at London’s 02 Arena, putting on a hit-packed show along with some special guests.  Former Stones Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor both made appearances, as well as Mary J. Blige and Jeff Beck.

The night began with a video featuring the likes of Elton John and Iggy Pop talking about the impact The Rolling Stones had on them, and was followed by a host of drummers in gorilla masks, a nod to the cover of their greatest hits album Grrr!, parading around the arena as “I Want to Be Your Man” kicked off the show.

Despite the hits-packed evening, fans got no satisfaction when the band went over the strict curfew by 40 minutes and the 1965 hit (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction was left out of the set list.
