The Monkees To Embark on First Tour in 15 Years

When Davy Jones passed away earlier this year, after a massive heart attack, fans of The Monkees and the band members themselves thought it would mean the end for the group.  But a surprising return by former Monkee Michael Nesmith has led to the announcement of a reunion tour this fall, Rolling Stone announced yesterday.

The band will kick off the 12-date tour in Escondido, CA on November 8th and wrap up at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on December 2nd.  The tour marks the first time Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenze, and Peter Tork have played together since 1997.
