u2-innocence-experience-tourUPDATE: U2 has canceled both of their shows in Paris originally schedule for November 14th and 15th.

U2 has canceled their Paris show scheduled for November 14th following the violent attacks that took place throughout the city Friday night. The show, which was to be broadcast live on HBO from the AccorHotels Arena, will be rescheduled at an appropriate time, according to a post on the band’s website.

“We watch in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight,” reads a statement from the band. “We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe.”

U2 is also scheduled to perform at the same Paris venue on Sunday, however no mention was made of that date in the band’s statement. They also performed two shows there earlier this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

The band is currently on their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour which is scheduled to continue through November 28th.
