Watch Lou Gramm & Mick Jones Perform with Billy Joel

It’s not unusual for Billy Joel to invite special guests to join him on stage during his monthly residency show at Madison Square Garden and this week was no exception.

Foreigner‘s Lou Gramm and Mick Jones joined the Piano Man on stage Thursday to perform the band’s hits “Urgent” and “Cold As Ice”.

In addition to writing Foreigner hits, Jones was also a co-producer on Joel’s 1989 album Storm Front, Joel reminded his audience as he introduced the duo.

In 2013 Billy Joel inducted Gramm and Jones into the Songwriter’s and Roll Hall of Fame.

Although Lou Gramm left Foreigner in 2003, he reunited with the band for a 40th Anniversary show in July 2017.
