The Foo Fighters launched a mysterious countdown on their website Thursday, which will expire Nov 21 @ 10pm PST/Nov 22 @ 1am EST. In addition to the counter, the website features a Foo Fighters logo inside a shield shape and some muffled background audio.

What will come once the countdown is complete is unclear.

The shape which contains the Foo Fighters logo highly resembles the shape of the US Route 66 sign; could the announcement be the new season of the band’s award-winning HBO show Sonic Highways?

Only time will tell.
