The only trouble, according to Clapton, is that he’s having trouble writing new music.

“I’m just lazy,” the guitarist explained. “When I get to ‘What am I going to do for that bit?’ I stop and turn on the TV. I’m easily distracted. What I’ve done a lot is written songs, then forgotten them. I put them down as a voice memo, on my phone, then I lose the memo.”

He did, however, reveal that he has some new original songs that he hasn’t lost.

On July 29th, Clapton release a tribute album – The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale – available for pre-order now on iTunes and Amazon.
