Paul McCartney has earned the top spot on Billboard’s final Hot Tours list of 2013 with $40.6 million dollars in ticket sales on the final leg of his Out There! tour.
The final leg of the tour took place in Japan, where McCartney hadn’t played for 11 years. Two of the Japan performances took place at Osaka’s 50,000 seat Kyocera Dome, while the final three dates were sell-outs at the Tokyo Dome, grossing $23.4 million alone.
Overall, Paul McCartney’s gross earnings for 2013 are estimated at over $105 million worldwide.
