Previously Unseen Photos of David Bowie to Be Published in New Book

Previously unseen photos of David Bowie will be released in a new limited edition photo book this Spring.

The photographs were taken by tour photographer Denis O’Regan during Bowie’s 1983 Serious Moonlight tour. They show a relaxed, behind-the-scenes Bowie as he traveled to 15 countries for 99 concerts in support of his Let’s Dance album.

The photographs selected for the book were curated from over 20,000 that O’Regan took during the course of the tour. Bowie and O’Regan had been through the photos together before Bowie’s untimely death in January of last year and every one of them was approved by Bowie. According to the Guardian, Bowie was “meant to have signed the book” before his death.

Due out in May through Moonlight Books, Ricochet : David Bowie 1983 also includes handwritten lyrics, tickets, set lists, limited edition prints, and a 12-inch picture disc.

Only 2000 copies of the piece are being printed. The set will retail for £3,000.
