An unreleased George Harrison recording on reel-to-reel tape is set to go up for auction next week. The item is included in Omega Auctions’ Beatles Memorabilia Collection auction.

“Hello Miss Mary Bee” was recorded in 1968, around the time of the Wonderwall sessions, and had never previously been heard in public. The tune was written for Harrison’s good friend, Mary Bee, and the recording was sent to her by Harrison and then-wife Patti Boyd.

The tape also includes recordings of several Beatles tunes such as “Lady Madonna” and “Across the Universe”. A letter and various postcards sent to Mary Bee by Harrison and Boyd accompanies the tapes.

The reel-to-reel tape and accompanying correspondence are expected to fetch £15,000 (approx $ 19,590 USD). The auction begins September 11, 2017. More details are available on the Omega Auctions website.
