Sir Paul loaned his extensive musical talents to SNL this past weekend, performing not once but three separate times including collaborations with Joe Walsh and the surviving members of Nirvana; Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear. McCartney even joined host Martin Short in a comedy sketch featuring the two as a duo whose tryout for a community Christmas pageant goes awry.
Check out the sketch and McCartney’s subsequent performance of “Wonderful Christmastime” below
The former Beatle also treated the audience to a performance of “My Valentine” (from his recent album Kisses On The Bottom) joined by special guest, Joe Walsh.
And then, to round things off McCartney joined with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear of Nirvana for a performance of the new song “Cut Me Some Slack”, which was written and recorded for Grohl’s upcoming Sound City documentary. Enjoy!
