50 years after it’s premiere in London during the height of Beatlemania, The Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night is making a return to theaters.

The digitally-restored version of the musical comedy will open on silver screens across the US on the Fourth of July weekend, Janus Films announced this week.

At the time of it’s release A Hard Day’s Night offered fans their first peek into a day in the life of the Beatles. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr play slapstick versions of themselves as they make the trip from Liverpool to London for a television appearance.

The film was made on a low budget but went on to gross over $12 million upon it’s release in 1964. Directed by Richard Lester, it features the hits “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “I Should Have Known Better”, the title track “A Hard Day’s Night,” and more.

The sound in the 50th anniversary re-release has been remixed and remastered for 5.1 sound systems by Giles Martin ant Abbey Road studios.
