Despite the recent announcement that Malcolm Young will be stepping away from AC/DC temporarily due to illness, the band is proceeding with plans to begin recording a new album this month.
According to a post by ACDCfans.net, the band’s equipment has arrived in Vancouver, BC, Canada where they will record the album with producer Brendan O’Brien.
O’Brien also produced the band’s 2008 album Black Ice.
The new album, the band’s 16th studio release, is tentatively due out by the end of the year.
