In celebration of the first day of summer last week, Metallica have released a new song titled “Lords of Summer” on iTunes. The band performed the song on their South American tour and the first leg of their European tour and say it is still a work in progress. They are calling the version they have released on iTunes a “First Pass Version” and have said that it will likely change again.
However, if you can’t wait to get your hands on some new Metallica, you can download the “First Pass Version” now on iTunes.
The band is continuing their European tour through to July 13th in Turkey and will return to North America for Heavy Montreal in Montreal, QC on August 9th.
