Watch Eric Clapton’s New Official Video for “Call Me The Breeze”

On July 29th, Eric Clapton will release The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale. The first single, “Call Me The Breeze” was released earlier this month with an accompanying lyric video. Now, an official video has been released.

It is, like the album, a tribute to the late Cale, featuring new footage of Clapton paying tribute to Cale as well as archive footage of Cale. You can watch it below.

The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale features guest performances by Tom Petty Mark Knopfler, John Mayer, Don White, Willie Nelson and Christine Lakeland. It is available for pre-order now on iTunes and Amazon.

“I would like people to tap into what JJ Cale did – that’s the point,” Clapton said in a press release. “I’m just the messenger; I’ve always felt that’s my job. I try to interpret things so that the public at large, or at least the people who listen to what I do, will become intrigued about where I got it from.”

Watch the new, official music video below.
