AC/DC has announced the release of Rock Or Bust on December 2nd. The highly anticipated new album, which was recorded earlier this year in Vancouver, features 11 new tracks.
It is the first album in the band’s 41 year history without founding member Malcolm Young, who has been taking a break from the band due to illness.
According to a statement on the band’s website, as AC/DC undertakes a world tour in support of the album, Malcolm and Angus Young’s nephew, Stevie, will fill in for Malcolm. The statement reveals that Malcolm will not be returning to the band due to the nature of his illness.
Following the announcement, Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald revealed that Malcolm Young is in fact receiving full time care in a nursing home as he suffers from dementia.
