Def Leppard won’t be treating fans to any new music when they hit the road this summer with supporting acts Styx and Tesla.
“We come from a certain generation where it’s like, we like the idea of the impact. We want people to hear it for the first time when it’s ready and when it’s right. Not some crap version off somebody’s iPhone where they get to hear the melody and the stuff but it’s like – it’s just rubbish,” Joe Elliott told VH1 Radio Network’s Dave Basner.
The other thing Def Leppard won’t be doing is sharing the stage with Styx or Tesla. It’s not uncommon with a joint tour to see bands perform together on each others’ sets or as an encore, but Elliott says it’s not something you can expect to see on this tour.
Def Leppard, Styx and Tesla kick off the trek on June 23rd. Click here for a full list of dates.
