Steven Tyler confirmed this week that his next solo effort will be a country album. The Aerosmith frontman made the official announcement on Tuesday night when he performed on a multi-artist bill at Nashville’s legendary Grand Ole Opry.
The news may come as a shock to longtime Aerosmith fans, but Tyler told Rolling Stone last year that there is “more country in me than people think.”
In recent years, he has collaborated with country artists Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
No further details on the title of the album or the release date have been released yet.
