Who says kids don’t appreciate good music anymore? Well, maybe some. But an 8-year-old boy in Manchester does, and he was awarded last week at a Foo Fighters show in Manchester when the kid caught the eye of Dave Grohl and was invited to join the band on stage.

“How old are you? You’re 8 years old and you know Foo Fighters lyrics?” Grohl asked as he saw the kid singing along. “I like you.”

Grohl then dedicated the song “Times Like These” to the kid and invited him up on stage. Grohl also invited his parents, joking “I’m not taking care of you, that’s for goddamn sure.”

The Foo Fighters are currently touring the UK with dates coming up this month in London, Edinburgh and then a headlining performance at Glastonbury.
