The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed the 15 artists who are nominated for induction into the Rock Hall in 2024. The nominees are: Ozzy Osbourne, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Lenny Kravitz, Sinead O’Connor, Jane’s Addiction, Oasis, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Eric B. & Rakim, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.
This marks the first nomination for most of the artists on the list including Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Ozzy Osbourne, Lenny Kravitz and Sinead O’Connor. Jane’s Addiction, Dave Matthews Band, Mary J. Blige and Eric B. & Rakim have all been nominated once before, while A Tribute Called Quest is returning to the short list for a third time.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place this fall in Cleveland, OH. The date, as well as ticket information, will be announced soon. For the second year in a row, the ceremony will be live streamed on Disney+ . It will air on ABC at a later date and will be available on Hulu the next day.
Inductees will be voted on by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 1,000+ voting body of members. Fans can have their say by voting once per day here. The resulting winners of the fan vote will make up a single ballot.
The class of 2024 will be announced in late April following the voting period.
This remarkable list of Nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “Continuing in the true spirit of Rock & Roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps.
To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
