Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler suffered a seizure Monday night in Brazil, according to a source of the Boston Globe. The medical emergency caused the band to cancel the last four shows of their South American tour.
“Unfortunately, due to unexpected medical issues, lead singer, Steven Tyler, is seeking immediate care and has been advised by his doctors that he cannot travel or perform at this time,” reads a statement on the Aerosmith’s official website. “Steven is expected to make a full recovery. With proper rest and treatment he will be back on his feet soon rocking the world. ”
Tyler, 69, also wrote personal statement posted to Twitter, revealing that he flew back to the U.S. on doctor’s orders Monday night but he is “not in a life threatening condition”.

Aerosmith’s shows is Curitiba, Brazil, Santiago, Chile, Rosario, Argentina and Monterrey, Mexico have been canceled.
On Thursday, Tyler’s girlfriend Aimee Preston posted a photo of the couple to Instagram with the caption “All good in the hood! Thanks for the ❤️❤️❤️”
