As the latest covid variant threatens live music and events once again (including this week’s postponement of the Grammy Awards), Bon Jovi are taking a chance, announcing the band’s return to the road for their first tour since the start of the pandemic.
Dubbed simply the Bon Jovi 2022 Tour, the 15-date trek kicks off April 1st in Omaha and continues through April 30th in Nashville.
A full list of dates is available below.
Pre-sale tickets for the tour go on sale January 11 and general public on-sale begins January 14. You can find ticket details on the band’s official website.
The 2022 Tour follows the release of Bon Jovi’s 15th studio album 2020, which explores political and social issues including the pandemic, racial injustice, gun violence and the presidential election.
The band was originally scheduled to tour in support of the album in the summer of 2020. However, when the pandemic halted concerts and caused most acts to postpone shows, Bon Jovi cancelled their tour altogether to ensure fans would receive a refund.
“Given these difficult times, we have made the decision to cancel the tour entirely,” Jon Bon Jovi said in a statement at the time “This will enable ticket holders to get refunds to help pay their bills or buy groceries. These are trying times. You’ve always been there for us and we’ll always be there for you.”
