Cheap Trick is celebrating their 40th anniversary this year but the Rick Nielsen and the rest of the band aren’t slowing down. This Friday they’ll release We’re All Alright!, the band’s 18th studio album.
“Y’know, we always write, but it’s more fun to write for a project and write for a reason,” guitarist and primary songwriter Rick Nielsen told Billboard. “We have a company (Big Machine Records) that believes in us and they like the work and they’re letting us make more records, which is cool. Making records is one of the ambitions we’ve always had. I don’t think the desire has ever gone away.”
We’re All Alright! features 10 tracks (13 on the Deluxe edition) including “Long Time Coming” which can be heard below. You can pre-order it now on iTunes and receive 4 instant grat tracks.
In 2016, Cheap Trick was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are currently performing in Europe before kicking off their North American tour with Foreigner and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience next month. Click here for a full list of tour dates.
