Elton John has announced that he’ll play the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Satuday, October 4th. Although he has made many guest appearances in recent years with the likes of Billy Joel and Leon Russell, this is his first headlining show, and first full concert in L.A. since 2001.

Elton and the band will be playing classic album tracks from his incredible five-decade career, including selections from the album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which has recently been reissued in multiple formats for its 40th Anniversary Special Edition.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Monday, June 9, at 10 am PDT.
