Elton John will ring in the New Year by performing “I’m Still Standing” for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve right after the ball drops this January 1st.
The performance will take place at his concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and be broadcast across the country as part of the annual, bi-coastal New Year’s festivities.
Ryan Seacrest will host the event from Times Square, as he has for the last nine years. John’s will be one of 38 performances throughout the annual New Year’s broadcast. Other performers include Taylor Swift, MAGIC!, Idina Menzel, Florida Georgia Line, Meghan Trainor, Gavin DeGraw, Lady Antebellum and One Direction, among others.
This marks the first time John has performed in New York on New Year’s Eve.
