Christine McVie will join Fleetwood Mac this fall for her first tour with the band in more than 15 years.
The On With The Show tour will kick off September 30th in Minneapolis and cover 33 cities across North America.
For over a decade, McVie has been living a quiet life in the English countryside, while Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie reunited in 2013 for shows throughout North America and Europe.
In September, Christine McVie joined the band on stage in London, performing her signature 1977 hit “Don’t Stop”. [Watch the video here.]
“I started to think, ‘What am I doing?” McVie told Rolling Stone in a recent interview. “I really miss that camaraderie with those four people. I miss everything about it. I missed the music, to be able to create again. I couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone besides Fleetwood Mac. I knew that they were my musical family… It was an epiphany because I suddenly knew I wanted to join the band again. Obviously, my muscle memory was a bit challenged, but I just thought, ‘I got to go for it. I can’t just sit here in the country rotting away. I have to do something, and something special.'”
Tickets for the On With The Show tour go on sale to the general public beginning April 7th.
