The late Freddie Mercury will be honored by The Heritage Foundation in London with a prestigious blue plaque at his family’s former home in Feltham, reports Britain’s Daily Mail.  Mercury lived in the home that will receive the plaque from 1964 to 1968 after moving to London from Zanzibar with his parents.

“We have received an application for a blue plaque to Freddie Mercury which has been approved, ” a spokesperson for the blue plaque committee told the newspaper.

Blue plaques are placed by The Heritage Foundation to mark significant historical buildings throughout the UK.  The building where Beatles manager Brian Epstein ran his management company from 1964 to 1967 was decorated with a blue plaque in 2014.
