On September 23rd, George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75 box set will be released, featuring the ex-Beatles first six solo albums remastered by Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks, a DVD with a brand-new short film directed by Olivia Harrison, and a book of essays and never-before-seen photographs.
One of the songs featured in the set is Harrison’s “Dark Horse.” The track is an early acoustic take on the song – a notably simpler version of the version released in ’74 that featured 11 vocalists and musicians.
This early take, which features just Harrison on guitar and some backup singers, can be heard in full via Rolling Stone now. Click here to listen.
