The members of Metallica star in a new EPSN commercial for SportsCenter that first aired during Monday night’s Home Run Derby.  The comedic ad implies that when Mariano Rivera – the Yankees pitcher known for entering the field to “Sandman” – retires, Metallica will have nothing to do.

“Sometimes it can be quite freeing to put yourself at the mercy of others,” Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone about the ad.  “ESPN’s commercials have a tendency to be hilarious. We were like, ‘That sounds like a good time.’ The whole thing had an overriding impulsivity to it.”
