Metallica will live stream their two 40th anniversary concerts next week and fans can tune in from around the world for free. The shows will take place at San Francisco’s Chase Center on December 17th and December 19th starting at 9pm PT and will be live streamed via The Coda Collection on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Music.
The two shows are part of a week’s worth of activities in San Francisco celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary. Other in-person activities include a film festival, pre-show parties before both shows, a block party, a Metallica trivia night, a Ross Halfin gallery show, as well as philanthropic opportunities with Metallica’s All Within My Hands organization including a pop-up food pantry and ocean beach clean up.
A full event schedule and details on how to volunteer for the food bank or beach clean-up are available on Metallica’s website.
Metallica was formed in 1981 and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career.
