A new minute-long clip from the authorized Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage of Heck, gives insight into how Cobain chose the Nirvana band name through an animated interpretation of the late rock star’s sketches and diaries. In the clip, a number of rejected band names are revealed including Boy In Heat and The Mandibles, among others. Watch it below.
Montage of Heck is the first authorized documentary about Cobain’s life and is executive produced by his daughter, Frances Bean.
It hits theaters internationally on April 10th and will air on HBO on May 4th.
