Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been announced as performers at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony on January 26th.
McCartney is nominated for four awards, including Best Rock Song for “Cut Me Some Slack” (with Dave Grohl, Krist Noveselic and Pat Smear), Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package for Wings Over America, Best Surround Sound Album for Live Kisses, and Best Music Film, also for Live Kisses.
Ringo Starr will be receiving the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Along with the two former Beatles, the performance lineup includes Carole King – who was named the 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year – Sara Bareilles, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Kacey Musgraves, John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Metallica and Lang Lang, Katy Park, P!nk and Nat Ruess of FUN., Robin Thicke and Grammy Hall of Fame inductees Chicago.
A special performance will also feature Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Black Shelton.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony airs live on CBS on January 26th at 8pm ET.
