Guitar legend Slash officially solidified his place in Hollywood yesterday, receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“I’ve been a part of the Hollywood fabric for a long time and to actually by appreciated by the city of Hollywood is a huge, huge, honor,” said Slash. “And so I want to thank everybody for this; it’s unbelievable.”
Actor/comedian Charlie Sheen was on hand for the ceremony, joking “It’s quite fitting I think that Slash is getting a star on the very street that Axl Rose will one day be sleeping on,” referring to Slash’s longtime rival and Guns N’ Roses bandmate.
As part of GNR as well as Velvet Revolver and other groups, Slash has sold over 100 million ablums. His most recent solo effort, Apocolyptic Love reached #4 on the Billboard Top 200.
