After two of their tour buses went up in flames last week in a parking lot in Philadelphia, Styx and Foreigner decided to make a donation to the local firefighters who helped put out the fire.
The band announced that all proceeds from CD sales at the Camden, NJ show on Thursday night would be donated to the Philadelphia Fire Department’s Local #22 Widow Fund.
“We’re thankful everyone’s ok, and can now officially say the Soundtrack of Summer Tour is on fire,” joked Foreigner’s manager Phil Carson.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, although the bus was parked at that time the blaze started, and it quickly spread to a second bus. No one was on either of the two buses at the time and no injuries resulted.
Foreigner and Styx are currently on their Soundtrack of Summer tour along with special guest Don Felder, formerly of the Eagles.
