Producer, musician and songwriter T-Bone Burnett will be presented with the Maestro Award at the 2013 Billboard Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference on Wednesday October 30th.
The multiple Oscar and Grammy Award winner will be honored for his work in film and T.V. music, which has included O Brother Where Art Thou, Crazy Heart, The Hunger Games, and the first season of ABC’s Nashville, as well as the upcoming Inside Llewyn Davis (CBS Films, Dec 6).
The Maestro Award is given annually to artists who have made a lasting contribution to the field of music in film and television. Past recipients include composers Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Alan Menken and Thomas Newman, as well as songwriter Diane Warren.
Burnett is also the producer of Elton John’s forthcoming album, The Diving Board, which is available now for pre-order at Amazon.com.
