Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin delivered a spirited cover of Bob Dylan’s “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” on the fifth night of what they’ve dubbed “The Hanukkah Sessions”. The pair have been posting the cover videos on the Foo Fighters’ YouTube channel to celebrate the music of Jewish artists.
You can hear the duo’s rendition in the player below.
“So now everybody must get stoned (not in the Law of Moses sense) as we put some blood on this track: Rainy Day Women 12&35 by the immortal @bobdylan!” Grohl posted on the Foo Fighters’ Twitter.
In other episodes of The Hanukkah Sessions, Grohl and Kurstin have covered the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” Mountain’s “Mississippi Queen,” Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” Peaches’ “Fuck the Pain Away,” and most recently, Justine Frischmann’s “Elastica”.
Greg Kurstin is a Grammy Award-winning producer who has worked with the Foo Fighters as well as Paul McCartney, Beck, Billy Idol, Devo, and many others. He is best known for having produced Adele’s 2015 record-breaking 2015 single “Hello”.
