The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde will tell the story of her life in a memoir due out September 8th, Random House announced on Tuesday.
The book promises to be “incredibly frank,” according to the publisher’s announcement.
Chrissie Hynde is best known as the lead singer of The Pretenders. She was born in Akron, OH and formed the Pretenders in 1979. She has been the only constant member of the band throughout its history.
Hynde said via statement that she hopes her book, which is not yet titled will “make people dance, have fun, possibly cry and maybe reach for a guitar.”
