Gregg Allman Dies at 69


Gregg Allman, founding member of the Allman Brothers Band an a pioneer of southern rock, has died at the age of 69.

Allman passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia, according to a post on his official website. Allman has struggled with a number of health issues over the past several years including Hepatitis C and undergoing a liver transplant in 2010.

In March, the remainder of Gregg Allman’s 2017 tour dates were canceled due to health issues, however in April, Allman’s manager put an end to rumors that the guitarist was in hospice care saying he was at home resting, on doctor’s orders but looked forward to “seeing everyone again.”
